The Graphic Designer/ Marketing Specialist is responsible for designing or creating graphics to meet specific commercial or promotional needs, such as packaging, displays, or logos. May use a variety of mediums to achieve artistic or decorative effects.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Create designs, concepts, and sample layouts based on knowledge of layout principles and esthetic design concepts.
Determine size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, and select style and size of type.
Use computer software to generate new images.
Mark up, paste, and assemble final layouts to prepare layouts for printer.
Draw and print charts, graphs, illustrations, and other artwork, using computer.
Review final layouts and suggest improvements as needed
Confer with sales and marketing team and managers to discuss and determine layout design.
Develop graphics and layouts for product illustrations, company logos, and Internet websites.
Key information into computer equipment to create layouts for client or supervisor.
Study illustrations and photographs to plan presentation of materials, products, or services.
Prepare notes and instructions for workers who assemble and prepare final layouts for printing.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Develop, create and post material and content for social media campaigns
Support the sales and marketing team by maintaining inventory and providing collateral and other marketing supplies upon request
Ensure that company messages and materials are accurate and consistent with brand guidelines
Creates, delivers, edits and optimizes marketing material for print and web
Education and Experience:
Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design, Commercial Art or related discipline
Minimum two years in a similar position
Experience in graphic design and photo editing with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and PowerPoint
Ability to create (not deliver) effective presentations for use by others
Proficiency on both MAC and PC platforms
Should have a portfolio of sample works to provide for review
Proficiency and understanding of social media platforms and current trends
Knowledge of animation, video and audio editing software is a plus
Ability to maintain social content for large number of communities
